Supplementary Hebrew School
Kachol Lavan focuses on acquisition and preservation of the Hebrew language, Israeli culture, Jewish traditions and history, and holiday celebrations. The school offers two different paths: Hebrew in Hebrew (for Hebrew native speakers) and Hebrew I can learn (Hebrew immersion, for non native). This is a great way to connect to Israeli and Jewish families and to the community:

Location: Bialik Hebrew Day School, located on Lebovic Jewish Community Campus
Yearly Tuition: $1199/year (Total 27 classes)
Deposit: A $120 deposit is required, and is part of the yearly tuition.
Designed for families who wish to preserve their native Hebrew language. The program focuses on Hebrew language, Israeli culture, Jewish tradition, and holiday celebrations through a joyful and exciting approach.

For families who wish to acquire the Hebrew language using a special program designed to teach Hebrew for children in an “Ulpan” method. The program focuses on Hebrew language, Israeli culture, Jewish tradition and holiday celebration.

Participate in a journey through our Jewish history and explore your family roots, traditions and values. Students will visit Synagogues, Holocaust Education Centre, take part in community events and lead our school wide celebrations.
This program prepares pre-teens and teens for young adulthood, both as individuals and part of the community. The year ends with a graduating ceremony where the students will presents their work and celebrate this milestone with their entire family.

Day and Time: Thursday, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Yearly Tuition: $859/year
Deposit: A $120 deposit is required, and is part of the yearly tuition.
Mid week classes are now available as an alternative for Sundays. Israeli culture, Jewish tradition and Holiday celebrations are all integrated through an experiential, dynamic and valuable curriculum.

Parents of Kachol Lavan students, who are interested in being ambassadors for the program, are invited to join us in a special Cafe Volunteering committee to discuss different topics related to our school.

Become a teacher assistant, instructor assistant, administrator assistant and fill in other positions available. You’ll complete your OSSD volunteer hours and get a letter of recommendation.
